Before reading about Google’ latest Panda update lets first know what really Google panda is, Google Panda is an alteration to the Google's algorithm by which the rankings of its search results is defined , the Google panda was first released in February 2011.
The change was made keeping an aim to lower down the rank of "low-quality sites", and keep the high or good-quality sites on the top of the search results. CNET prepared a report that flow in the rankings of social Networking sites and news websites, and a fall in rankings for sites which are made just for the purpose of advertising.
This change allegedly resulted into the rankings of near about 12 percent of all search results. Soon after the Panda was rolled out, a large number of websites, which also includes Google's webmaster forum, was filled with a lot of complaints from copyright/scrapers infringers which were getting better rankings than the sites which were having original content.
At one end, Google openly asked for data points to help and identify scrapers better. Google's Panda have thereafter gone through several updates since the original rollout in February 2011, and its result went global in April 2011. To help pretentious publishers, Google published an option on its blog, which give some direction for self-evaluation of quality of a website.
